UoNMSA Marks International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus marked the 26/06/2020 International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking through a webinar. To address and counter the drug problem and reaffirming its resolve, The Executive Director Reachout, Mr.Taib presented effective and holistic approaches needed to resolve the issue. Drug abuse is a complex problem at the intersection of public health, safety and social issues. Very interesting to hear that drug abuse cuts across ages, social status etc. But also interesting to hear that one of the factors that undermine interventions is stigmatization of drug users.

The theme of this year's International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is  "Better Knowledge, Better Care".
