The Justice Kathurima M'inoti officially launched the East African Law Journal in Mombasa. The East African Journal was originally started in 1967 to give an opportunity for staff, students and legal professionals an opportunity to publish their research findings.
The University of Nairobi, School of Law hosted the second roundtable on gender and artisanal mining. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Mining, academia, community of miners and the National Gender and Equality Commission.These roundtables are part of a research project jointly undertaken by Carleton University, University of Nairobi(Mombasa Campus), University of Sierra Leone and University of Eduardo(Mozambique).
